It does not take a genius to figure out that the dam needs to be returned to government control. I am not sure which general is in charge In of the decision, but what I do know they are procrastinators. Just last year they were active in protecting assets like the dams now it looks like no one even know where they are from moment to moment.
If you have people that will suffer or even die from thirst you have to provide the needed water.
I am not sure why the United States has not sent in troops to take and protect assets like a dam. One thing is clear the Iraqi military and government are unable or to inept to defend their own country. There Iranian ally using militias are unable to protect anything also. Yet they have enough Iraqis to go to Damascus and fight for Assad.
We can not wait on a Shia government that is unable. The next loss will be Bagdad its self. The president seems to be unable to allow commanders to take care of the problem.
They have been given weapons, and they leave them behind when they run away. The enemy must have a huge stock pile right now. The Kurds have are constantly going without weapons because of the Shia government. We need to address the Kurdish need ASAP as they are the only ones in Iraq that seem to be able to defend what is theirs.
The President and the American Militaries need to move and secure that country. Do not wait for the Shia Government in Bagdad.
